Trial running: Trail runners travel into remote terrain on their own feet. The sport combines aspects of road running and alpine hiking. Trail running can be competitive, or relaxing. Trail running is for mountain athletes who want to push themselves physically while making substantial fitness gains.

Trail Running Gap Year Programs at RIDGE: RIDGE coaches create student athlete- specific training programs, so you can get the most out of your Gap Year in Montana. You'll run on world-class trails in and around Whitefish, MT. You'll also work with RIDGE health coaches, have the opportunity for an internship in the outdoor industry, gain experience in other mountain sports, and you'll have the option of earning college credit.
Trail Running Training for Elite Athletes: You'll work with RIDGE coaches all semester to take your running to the next level. Want to ramp up your training to compete in trail races, ultras, or Xterra Off-Road Triathlons? Ready to run harder and see where your legs can take you? RIDGE Academy will build an individualized program including a trail running training plan to help you meet your goals!
RIDGE High School Trail Running Academy: When you take a semester off to train at RIDGE, you'll be able to train in the morning, and attend classes in the afternoon without compromising your graduation date. Stay on track with your academics while training with RIDGE!
