Sean grew up in Mission Viejo, CA but quickly sought solace in the mountains. He discovered snowboarding when he was 12. By high school, he was competing internationally. Sean has gone on to push his snowboarding in many directions - guiding and coaching many international and professional athletes along the way. He holds a Level II AIARE certification, WFR, USSA 200, and a B.S. from the University of Utah. Before moving to Montana, he was the director of ski/snowboard programs for a college prep boarding school based in Utah.

Sean’s true passion lies in the backcountry. From the Arctic to Antarctic, he splitboards the world's most remote mountains ranges. Sean is also the founder of Riding On Insulin, an international non-profit organization that holds action sports camps for children and adults with chronic diseases.

He and his wife, Mollie, moved to Whitefish in 2013 to raise a family in their yurt. Together, they run a website, TwoSticksAndABoard.com, highlighting their adventures.
