Yoga for Mountain Athletes with RIDGE Coach Cat Jenks

Yoga plays a central roll in RIDGE's mountain athlete training programs. We utilize weekly yoga sessions with our in-house yoga coach Cat Jenks to help prevent injury by developing flexibility, increasing body awareness, and promoting restoration and recovery. During the fall and winter semesters, as we ramp up our mountain sports training, our yoga sessions focus on restoration and  recovery.

Here's a 10 minute 'Yoga for Mountain Athletes' session that you can try during your own training periods, on a rest day, or even in an airport while you're traveling.

RIDGE Crew at the 'Jack 'n' Jill' Skimo Race'

The RIDGE crew traveled to Choteau, MT. to compete in the 2016 Jack 'n' Jill Skimo race at Teton Pass Ski Resort.

'Skimo' or 'Randonee' racing has a rich history in Europe, and is gaining popularity here in the United States. Racers use specialized ski equipment to ascend and descend a predetermined route as fast as possible.

The RIDGE snowboarding crew recently connected with legendary snowboarder Jason Robinson who is from the Flathead Valley! 

J-Rob's snowboarding resume is extensive, to say the least. Last year he was named one of Snowboard Magazine's rider's of the year

The RIDGE crew had fun chasing J-Rob around Whitefish Mountain, and learning his favorite secret spots around the resort.
