Benjamin D. Ward, MD
Dr. Ward earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. Dr. Ward completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico. His training has provided him with extensive knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art treatment of sports injuries, including ACL and meniscus tears of the knee, and rotator cuff and labral tears of the shoulder. He also has extensive training in general orthopedics treating musculoskeletal trauma, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Ward, a graduate of Dartmouth College, served as a ski patroller during his undergraduate years and was a downhill ski race course volunteer for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. In his free time, he enjoys alpine and telemark skiing, biking, photography, and backpacking with his family. He currently serves as a team physician for the US Alpine Ski Team.
