Aleta is a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She grew up in the Flathead Valley, hikingin Glacier National Park and skiing on Big Mountain.  She worked as a river guide and ski instructor while pursing her undergraduate degree at the University of Montana. After college, Aleta pursued her love for skiing in Jackson Hole. She moved back to Whitefish in 2005 to be closer to family and to start her own.

Prior to joining Ridge Mountain Academy, Aleta spent ten years working with adolescents as a residential counselor at a therapeutic boarding school and transitional living program. In addition to supporting the emotional growth and life skills curriculum, she developed and instructed nutrition modules and provided individual health coaching.

Aleta believes that connection to nature, a whole food based diet and exercise provide the platform for individuals to thrive in all aspects of their lives. She is passionate about sharing her love for the mountains and helping people gain a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection through nourishing foods.

Aleta and her husband, Adam, have a 3 year old daughter who has already embraced the mountain lifestyle and will likely be hard to keep up with on the slopes before too long!
